My husband has many hobbies - hunting, fishing, carpentry, etc. I, on the other hand, needed a hobby in the worst sort of way. I don't ski, I don't fish, I don't scrapbook, I don't bird watch. I do take care of three beautiful (but not perfect) children, and have been happily (not perfectly) married for ten years. So, that has been my hobby. It is my favorite hobby, and one I am proud of. However, everyone needs an outlet. I stumbled upon blogging a few years ago as a way to keep my out-of-town family up-to-date with pictures, and news from our everyday life. What started out as a simple, for my family, sort of thing, quickly grew into a favorite past-time of mine.
I blog for my kids. This is my way to keep record of our family during their growing up years. I blog for my friends. I love to make people laugh. But, most of all, I blog for me. I enjoy it.
I really should take up running, or skiing, or bike-riding. That would be a hobby that would not cause me to gain unnecessary pounds. But, I suppose I can blog without a snack once in a while, and somehow get into shape. It's something to consider anyways....
